# Withdraw from a vault

Redeem your vault shares for tUSDC.

> Vaults run on Base Sepolia testnet. See [Testnet Status](../../introduction/testnet-status.md).

## What you need to know

- The vaults are ERC-7540. You request a redeem, a keeper fulfils it, then your tUSDC is claimed. There is no minimum wait (`fulfillmentDelay` is 0).
- Connect the wallet you deposited with, on Base Sepolia. It must hold the vault shares: nCONS, nMOD, nAGGR, nHEDG, nINV or nCFG.
- You can redeem any portion of your shares, in as many partial withdrawals as you like. The rest stays in the vault. After a full withdrawal you can deposit again at any time.
- What you receive depends on the share price, the number of shares, the performance fee and your method's fee. Share price rises once the vault earns yield.

## Choose a method

| Method | Transactions | Wait | Fee | Best for |
|--------|--------------|------|-----|----------|
| Standard with Auto-Claim (recommended) | 1 (request) | Until a keeper fulfils it | 0.1% | Hands free |
| Standard with manual claim | 2 (request, claim) | Until a keeper fulfils it | 0% | Lowest cost |
| Instant redeem | 1 | Immediate | 2-5% | No waiting |
| Batch redeem | 1 (batch request) | Until a keeper fulfils it | 0.1% | Several vaults at once |

## Standard withdrawal

1. Open [Vaults](https://dapp.noderr.xyz/vaults) and click **View Details** on your vault.
2. Open the **Deposit/Withdraw** tab and select **Withdraw**.
3. Enter the shares to redeem: type an amount, enter a percentage of your holdings, or click **Max**. The form shows your estimated tUSDC at the current share price.
4. Set **Auto-Claim**. On, the AutoClaimKeeper sends your tUSDC for you and takes 0.1% of the withdrawal from the claimed assets. Off, you claim it yourself for free.
5. Set your slippage tolerance (default 0.5%). It protects you from receiving fewer assets than expected if the price moves.
6. Click **Request Redeem** and confirm. Your shares are locked in the vault.
7. Track the request in the **Fulfillment Queue** panel. It shows progress from 0 to 100%, your queue position, the estimated time and your Auto-Claim status.
8. With Auto-Claim off, wait for the status **Claimable**. Then click **Claim Redeem** and confirm to receive your tUSDC.

## Instant redeem

1. Check the **Instant Liquidity** panel on the vault page for available liquidity, the current fee and your expected tUSDC.
2. Switch the withdrawal form to **Instant** and enter the shares to redeem.
3. Review the fee: 2% base plus a 0-3% utilization premium, 2-5% in total.
4. Click **Instant Redeem** and confirm. Your tUSDC is transferred at once.

Instant redeems are limited by the liquidity in the InstantLiquidityPool.

## Batch withdrawal

1. Open your portfolio dashboard to see all your vault positions.
2. Check the box next to each vault to withdraw from.
3. Enter the shares to redeem for each.
4. Click **Batch Redeem** to submit every request in a single transaction.

The requests are processed together and claimed in a single auto-claim execution. Batching saves 50-70% of the gas of individual transactions.

## Example

The performance fee is 10% to 15% of profit above the vault's hurdle, by vault. See [Fee Structure](../../tokenomics/fee-structure.md).

| Item | Value |
|------|-------|
| Initial Deposit | 1,000 tUSDC |
| Shares Received | 1,000 nMOD |
| Vault Return (illustration) | 10% |
| Current Value | 1,100 tUSDC |
| Performance Fee (10% of the 40 tUSDC above the 6% Moderate hurdle) | -4.00 tUSDC |
| Auto-Claim Fee (0.1%) | -1.10 tUSDC |
| **Final Withdrawal** | **~1,095 tUSDC** |

## If something goes wrong

- **Request pending too long.** Check that you are on Base Sepolia. The keeper service may be delayed. If it persists, ask on [Discord](https://discord.gg/bPznF37J2e).
- **"Insufficient Liquidity" on an instant redeem.** Try a smaller amount, use a standard withdrawal, or check back when the pool is replenished.
- **Auto-Claim not executing.** Check the progress bar to confirm the request was fulfilled, then check the Fulfillment Queue. Manual claim is always available.
- **"Insufficient Shares" error.** You cannot redeem more shares than you own. Check your wallet for the correct share token, or click **Max** to redeem your exact balance.
- **Transaction failed.** Usual causes: too little ETH for gas, network congestion, or a paused vault. Try again in a few minutes and check announcements.

## Emergency withdrawals

The protocol may enable emergency withdrawals, but only during critical protocol events. Emergency mode bypasses the normal fulfillment process and may give slightly different exchange rates. Guardian nodes can trigger an emergency pause.
