# Third party contributors

A planned framework that will let outside developers and strategists submit trading strategies and earn a share of the profits.

> **Not live yet.** Today one protocol keeper submits all strategies. See [Testnet Status](../../introduction/testnet-status.md).

## What you need to know

- Contributors will submit, test and deploy their own trading algorithms.
- Accepted strategies will be registered in the `StrategyRegistry` and routed through the [ATE](./README.md) contracts.
- Profit share will scale with the NODR staked behind the strategy.
- Strategy approval is a governed action.

## Submission and testing

1. **Submission.** Contributors will submit strategies through a portal. Strategies will first run in a sandbox.
2. **Backtesting.** Strategies will be backtested against historical market data. Guardian nodes vote on backtest results today.
3. **Live testing.** Strategies that pass backtesting will be tested with a small amount of capital. No strategy has been tested with real capital yet.

## Rewards

Contributors whose strategies are accepted will receive a percentage of the profits those strategies generate. A NODR stake ladder (`StrategyStakingV2.sol`) sets the share:

| Stake tier | Profit share |
| :--- | :--- |
| Entry | 2% |
| Tier 1 | 5% |
| Tier 2 | 10% |
| Tier 3 | 15% |
| Max | 20% |

## Approval

Approval requires a 66% Oracle supermajority (`StrategyRegistry.MIN_ORACLE_APPROVAL=66`) through the Oracle Chamber. Standard 60% governance thresholds also apply where relevant. See [Governance](../governance/README.md).
