Micro Nodes
This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Micro Node tier, including its requirements, responsibilities, and rewards.
Overview
Micro Nodes are the entry-level tier in the Noderr network, designed for beginners, enthusiasts, and those with limited capital. They play a role in the protocol by performing basic data collection and network monitoring tasks.
Requirements
| Requirement | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Staking | 0 NODR (no minimum stake required) |
| CPU | 2+ Cores |
| RAM | 4GB+ |
| Storage | 100GB+ SSD |
| Bandwidth | 10 Mbps+ |
Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Collect basic market data from various sources.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor the health and status of the Noderr network.
- Uptime: Maintain a high level of uptime to ensure reliable data collection.
Rewards
Micro Node operators are rewarded based on their uptime and the quality of the data they provide. The Micro tier requires no stake to participate. Rewards are a tier-weighted revenue-share and are unfunded on testnet — no per-node dollar figure applies yet.
How to Get Started
- Meet the Hardware Requirements: Ensure you have a machine that meets the minimum hardware specifications.
- Install the Node Software: Follow the Micro Node Installation Guide to install and configure the node client.
- Start Operating: No stake is required for the Micro tier. Begin contributing to data collection and network monitoring to earn rewards based on your uptime and data quality.
