Validator Nodes
This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Validator Node tier, including its requirements, responsibilities, and rewards.
Overview
Validator Nodes are a component of the Noderr protocol, which runs on Base L2. They help validate protocol activity and participate in securing the network. This tier is ideal for experienced operators with a moderate capital commitment.
Requirements
| Requirement | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Staking | 25,000 NODR |
| CPU | 4+ Cores |
| RAM | 16GB+ |
| Storage | 500GB+ NVMe SSD |
| Bandwidth | 100 Mbps+ |
Responsibilities
- Transaction Validation: Validate protocol activity as part of the network's operation on Base L2.
- Network Security: Participate in securing the network alongside other node tiers.
- Uptime: Maintain a high level of uptime to ensure network stability.
Rewards
Validator Node operators earn a share of protocol revenue via the node-operator revenue-share pool, rather than a fixed APY. Of total protocol revenue, 40% flows to the node-operator pool, which is split 30/30/30/10 across the Oracle, Guardian, Validator, and Micro tiers. Rewards are influenced by the amount of NODR staked and the operator's TrustFingerprint score.
A Validator Node earns a tier-weighted revenue-share. Node rewards are unfunded on testnet and none have been paid, so no per-node dollar figure applies yet; actual amounts depend on protocol revenue and node activation.
How to Get Started
- Meet the Requirements: Ensure you have the necessary hardware and have acquired 25,000 NODR tokens.
- Stake Your NODR: Follow the Staking Guide to stake your NODR tokens.
- Install the Node Software: Follow the Validator Node Installation Guide to install and configure the node client.
