Staking Guide

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough of how to stake your $NODR tokens to earn staking rewards and increase your voting power in the NoderrDAO.

Before You Begin

  • Web3 Wallet: Ensure you have a Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask) funded with NODR tokens.
  • Network: Make sure your wallet is connected to the Base Sepolia network.

Why Stake $NODR?

Staking your $NODR tokens is a great way to actively participate in the Noderr ecosystem and earn rewards for your contribution. By staking, you:

  • Earn Node Rewards: Operating a node lets you share in the node rewards pool, which receives 40% of protocol revenue (split 30/30/30/10 across tiers). Rewards flow primarily to node operators rather than as a flat per-token payout. Node tiers are gated by $NODR stake: Micro (0 NODR), Validator (25,000 NODR), Guardian (50,000 NODR), and Oracle (150,000 NODR).
  • Increase Your Voting Power: Gain more influence in the NoderrDAO. Voting power is tier-based: Micro 1x, Validator 2x, Guardian 4x, and Oracle 7x.
  • Improve Your TrustFingerprint Score: Long-term staking demonstrates your commitment to the protocol, which can improve your reputation score.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the Staking Section

Visit the Noderr dApp and click on the "Staking" tab in the navigation.

Step 2: Enter Staking Amount

On the staking page, you will see a form to stake your $NODR tokens. Enter the amount of NODR you wish to stake. You can either type the amount manually or use the "Max" button to stake your balance.

Step 3: Approve the Transaction

Before you can stake, you will need to approve the Noderr smart contract to spend your $NODR tokens. Click the "Approve" button and confirm the transaction in your wallet. This is a one-time transaction.

Step 4: Confirm the Stake

Once the approval transaction is confirmed, the "Stake" button will become active. Click "Stake" and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Unstaking Your $NODR

You can initiate an unstake of your $NODR tokens at any time. However, please be aware that all unstaking is subject to a 21-day unstaking period before your tokens become claimable. To unstake, navigate to the "Unstake" tab on the staking page, enter the amount you wish to unstake, and confirm the transaction. After the 21-day unstaking period has elapsed, you will be able to claim your unstaked NODR tokens.
