Voting Guide
This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough of how to participate in the NoderrDAO by voting on governance proposals.
Before You Begin
- Web3 Wallet: Ensure you are connected to the Noderr dApp with a wallet that holds your node and any staked NODR. (A Micro node can participate with a 0 NODR stake; higher tiers stake 25,000 / 50,000 / 150,000 NODR.)
- Voting Power: Your voting power is tier-based, determined by your node tier: Micro 1x, Validator 2x, Guardian 4x, Oracle 7x. Your TrustFingerprint score gates eligibility for the higher tiers. You can view your voting power on the governance page.
How Governance Works
Noderr governance runs across two chambers: the Oracle Chamber (strategy and treasury oversight) and the Guardian Chamber (security oversight). Each proposal is routed to the relevant chamber.
Key parameters:
- Propose: A proposer needs a TrustFingerprint of at least 70% (0.70) of the scale.
- Quorum: 10% participation is required for a vote to be valid.
- Approval (standard): 60% in favor passes a standard proposal.
- Oracle supermajority (major decisions): 66% Oracle approval is required for treasury and capital deployment, allocations above $100K or 5% of AUM, strategy approval, and Oracle elections.
- Timelock: Passed proposals queue for 2 days (standard) or 1 day (emergency), up to a 7-day maximum, before execution.
How to Vote
Step 1: Navigate to the Governance Section
Visit the Noderr dApp and click on the "Governance" tab in the navigation. This will take you to the proposal listing page.
Step 2: Select a Proposal
Browse the list of active proposals and click on one to view its details. Each proposal will have a title, a detailed description, and a discussion link.
Step 3: Cast Your Vote
On the proposal detail page, you will see the options to vote "For," "Against," or "Abstain." Select your choice and, if you wish, provide a reason for your vote in the text box provided.
Step 4: Confirm Your Vote
Click the "Vote" button and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Your vote will be recorded on the blockchain.
