Micro Node Setup and Installation

A Noderr Micro Node turns an Android phone into a node that earns rewards by running lightweight tasks in the background. There is no computer, no Docker, and no separate helper app to install — everything runs from the Noderr app on the phone itself.

You will need: an Android phone (Android 10 or newer) that can be left plugged in and online, and a few minutes to complete the in‑app setup.

Step 1 — Install the app

1. On the phone, open noderr.xyz/micronodes and tap Download for Android.
2. Open the downloaded .apk. When Android warns about installing from your browser, tap Settings → Allow from this source, then Install.
3. Open the Noderr Micronode app.

Step 2 — Create or connect your wallet

On first launch the app creates a secure wallet for the node (or lets you import one). This wallet holds the node's identity and receives rewards. Your private key is encrypted on the device and never leaves it.

Step 3 — Grant the Accessibility permission

The node uses Android's Accessibility service to run its tasks.

1. When the app prompts, tap Open Accessibility Settings.
2. Find Noderr Micronode in the list and turn it On.
3. Confirm the permission dialog, then return to the app.

Step 4 — Enable Wireless Debugging (one time)

This is what gives the node its own secure privileged bridge without a computer or any extra tools. You only do this once. The app handles the hard part (pairing and starting the bridge) automatically — you just enable two switches, and the exact menu names differ slightly by phone brand.

Samsung note: you have to flip the Wireless debugging switch yourself — for security, Samsung does not let any app turn this one on for you. That single tap is the only manual step; the app detects it the moment it's on and continues on its own.

4c. Back in the app, tap Enable Bridge. The app pairs with the phone's own debugging service and authorizes itself automatically — approve the on‑screen prompt if one appears. After this, the bridge starts itself on every reboot.

Step 5 — Use a swipe lock (important)

So the node can operate the screen while it works, set the screen lock to Swipe / None rather than a PIN, pattern, or password:

Settings → Lock screen → Screen lock type → Swipe.

A PIN/pattern/fingerprint lock blocks the node from opening apps and its tasks will fail. Swipe lock keeps the phone usable for automation. The screen still stays dark and the node runs invisibly in the background — see Step 7.

Step 6 — Keep it alive in the background

1. When prompted, tap Allow to disable battery optimization for the app.
2. Then set the app to unrestricted background use and, on brands that have it, turn on Auto‑start — this is the #1 reason a node goes offline after a reboot:

Step 7 — Register and mint your Node NFT

1. In the app, tap Register Node. This registers the phone with the Noderr coordinator (verification.noderr.xyz).
2. Tap Mint Utility NFT — the mint is gasless (Noderr covers the gas), so you don't need any crypto to start.
3. The node goes Online. The screen goes dark and the app runs invisibly; your phone is now earning.

Verify it's working

• The app status shows Online with a recent heartbeat.
• Under Settings → View Logs you can see tasks being received and completed.
• Your node appears on your dashboard with its rewards balance.
